At Ignite Visibility we do not do anything spammy. Our company takes pride in doing things 100% whitehat. But there are other SEO companies out there who just buy a bunch of links. This will allow you to rank quickly, but eventually, you will be caught, get a penalty and probably be calling a company like ours to get it removed.
In this video, Matt Cutt’s answers the question, “Can the good guys still win in SEO?” The motivation behind this question is that the company asking spammed Google, got caught and now feels disheartened. They feel that if they don’t do dirt tricks like this, they will not be able to compete. I have to say that I have heard this argument many times and there is some truth to it. But Google has gotten better and better at fighting webspam and catching these kind of tricks, so while this might have been a valid argument a few years ago, it really does not standup well today.
That being said, we are still seeing what we call, “Churn and Burn” websites in the Google search space all the time. So while it does seem like Google is getting better, especially with the manual action team being so aggressive as of late, things are still not perfect.
Watch a video by Matt Cutts below. My advice, don’t try to cut corners. It is not worth it in the long run.
